Playa-de-Bolonia1
On its 35 kilometres of coastline, the Cadiz municipality of Tarifa is home to everything from wide beaches to intimate coves, where you can enjoy endless dunes, fine sand, clean, crystal-clear waters, incredible sunsets and ideal conditions for windsurfing, kitesurfing, scuba diving and snorkelling. In addition, this place offers spectacular views and a rich seabed.

Today we are going to Tarifa to show you three beaches that are well worth discovering. Of course, we must admit that you can enjoy a magnificent day at the beach on any of the beaches in this municipality. Would you like to join us?

Bolonia Beach

Playa-de-BoloniaOf course, we must begin by talking about Bolonia Beach, considered one of the best beaches in Spain. With a length of 3,800 metres and an average width of 70 metres, it offers a wonderful unspoilt landscape. The Duna de Bolonia, known as the Bolonia Dune, is a Natural Monument of great ecological importance. You should also know that next to the beach you can see the ruins of the ancient Roman city of Baelo Claudia.

Valdevaqueros Beach

Playa-de-ValdevaquerosAnother sandy beach in Tarifa that is worth visiting is Valdevaqueros Beach, which is characterised by its large, rustic, clean and blue waters. It is also important to bear in mind that the wind here is excellent for windsurfing. Away from large populated areas, the beach is home to the mouth of the river del Valle, which forms a wide estuary; and an extensive dune formed during the 1940s.

Punta Paloma Beach

Punta-PalomaFinally, we would like to talk about Punta Paloma Beach, located next to Valdevaqueros. It is a sandy area that is difficult to access and is located at the foot of one of the most spectacular dunes in Europe. Although it offers some services, the buildings that can be found here are of a rustic type, so they do not damage the landscape too much.
