Sa tuna a cove with lots of charm in begur

After getting to know the best islands in South America, all of them with paradisiacal dream beaches, we return to Spain, a country that certainly has nothing to envy in terms of beaches. One of the places where you can find some of the best beaches in our country is in the Costa Brava, Girona.

It is in this place where the beach we are going to show you today is located. It is Sa Tuna, located in the small town of Begur. Would you like to know more about it? Then come with us!

An unsuspected discovery

Due to its sheltered location and winding access, Sa Tuna cove is always an unexpected discovery for those who visit it.

This is a pebbly cove that offers a pleasant swim in clean, transparent waters, and quiet walks that allow you to admire its marvellous natural surroundings. The beach is naturally protected from the waves by an arm of rock a few hundred metres away, known as Punta d’es Plom.

A cove with a lot of charm

The cove has its origins in the seaside neighbourhood of the same name. In fact, these little houses are still preserved today, although nowadays they are holiday homes. However, they have not lost their charm and offer a breathtaking view of the sea. Along the coastal path that skirts the rocks, you can reach Aiguafreda and Cap Sa Sal or the hidden cove of s’Eixugador, a wild and beautifully quiet spot only accessible by this path or by boat.

Begur

With a Mediterranean landscape of whitewashed fishermen’s houses, rocks and pine trees right down to the sea, Begur has a huge number of beautiful beaches, so don’t hesitate and visit this corner of the Costa Brava. You won’t regret it!
