Nudist beach in huelva, spain

Playa de Rompeculos
We are still some months away from being able to enjoy one of Spain’s great attractions: its extensive and beautiful coastline. However, this doesn’t stop us from wanting to get to know the beautiful beaches of our country, quite the contrary. And seeing sandy beaches like the one we are going to show you today gives us even more energy to endure the weeks that are still to come before we say goodbye to the cold.

So, today we are in the province of Huelva, where among other beautiful coastal spots we have found the Rompeculos Beach. Yes, you read that right! Do you want to know what this beach with such a curious name is like? Well, come and join us!

An extensive isolated nudist beach

Located between Mazagón and Matalascañas, Rompeculos Beach is an extensive stretch of sand about 100 metres wide and 3 kilometres long, characterised, among other things, by being framed by sand dunes. Perhaps because it is isolated and difficult to access, it is a meeting point for nudists, although it is not officially considered a nudist beach.

Practically unspoilt

As you can see in the images we show you in our gallery, this is a beach that is practically untouched, so its natural beauty is intact. However, as we have already mentioned, it is not easy to get there, as you have to cross a cliff.

Why this curious name?

To end our tour, let us explain the reason for this curious name. It turns out that since the 19th century the people of the area have called this corner of Huelva this way because of the irregular watercourse that breaks the line of dunes and makes its way towards the beach. We leave you with our gallery below, where you will discover more images of Rompeculos Beach. Don’t miss it!
