Let’s start the weekend from Andalusia. Would you like to join us? Today we would like to focus on the province of AlmerĂa, which offers a fantastic coastline, with the beaches of the Cabo de Gata-NĂjar Nature Reserve being the most outstanding. However, you can also find marvellous sandy beaches in other places. This is the case of Punta Entinas-Sabinar, a nature reserve located between the municipalities of El Ejido and Roquetas de Mar.
This natural spot is made up of a set of dunes close to the Mediterranean coastline, among which you can find ponds. So, although we can speak of a sub-arid Mediterranean ecosystem, the truth is that different biotypes can be found. Would you like to discover more details about this corner of Almeria? Well, all you have to do is come with us!
One of the few unspoilt corners of the Mediterranean.
The beach of the Paraje Natural de Punta Entinas-Sabinar is characterised by its natural aspect. In fact, here coast and nature merge in a unique way, offering one of the few unspoilt corners that are still preserved in the Mediterranean.
A solitary and quiet beach
As no vehicle access is allowed, the beach is usually very secluded and quiet. On the other hand, you should bear in mind that as it is a virgin spot, it is not adapted, which means that the sand is mixed with pebbles and stones.
An ideal area for scuba diving
On the other hand, we would like to mention that in this place you can find some very interesting seabeds. In particular, the posidonia oceanica meadows stand out. This is the most westerly colony in the Mediterranean. However, it does not have an area reserved for scuba diving. We should also highlight the abundance of vertebrates, especially the flamingo. We leave you with our gallery below, where you will find more images of this natural spot in AlmerĂa. Don’t miss it!
