The geographical location of Andalusia, on the one hand Mediterranean, but above all Atlantic, makes the province of Cadiz an ideal place for this sport. Between the towns of Tarifa and Cadiz you can find the best beaches for surfing. We suggest 4 of the many that you can find along the coast of Cadiz.
Playa de Yerbabuena: this is a beach where cars are left far from the shore, which means that there are often thieves lurking around the area. So you have to be careful with them but also with the rocks.
El Balneario: this beach has excellent conditions with strong waves from the south or northeast. Above all, be careful with the rocks and strong easterly winds.
El Palmar beach: you will find waves from right to left, better with light easterly winds. The waves reach up to 3 metres high. This is the most regular area of the coast, where you can almost always surf. There are very few rocks but the strong currents can drag you in.
La Barrosa-Roche: this is a series of beaches with waves from left to right, with a sandy bottom. It is a place to visit out of season.
