Naturism and nudism are becoming increasingly popular among many people who, leaving behind the social prejudices that have repressed the population for so many years, are now seeking to free themselves from modesty and reconnect with nature.
Andalusia is an ideal place for a naturist route along the whole coast, as it offers plenty of beaches dedicated to the nudist public. Here are some of the best ones, don’t miss them!
Granada
Practically every coastal town in Granada has a nudist beach, from the most touristy to the most isolated. Don’t miss the lively atmosphere of CantarrijĂĄn or El Muerto in Almuñécar, La Joya in Motril and other quieter beaches such as Playa del Ruso in Albuñol or La Rijana, in Gualchos-Castell de Ferro.
Malaga
There are a number of nudist beaches, including Spain’s first naturist resort, Costa Natura (Estepona). Other beaches of these characteristics in the area are Cabopino in Marbella, Benalnatura in BenalmĂĄdena, Cala del Pino in Nerja, Almayate in VĂ©lez or Guadalmar, a place about ten minutes from MĂĄlaga city where nudists and non-nudists coexist in perfect harmony.
Almeria
Cabo de Gata is one of the most spectacular beaches in Andalusia and is fortunately another of the places where nudism is a completely accepted practice, just as it is in Torre de GarcĂa or Las Amoraledas. However, the most popular naturist beach in the whole town is Vera beach, which is backed by six naturist urbanisations.
Huelva and Cadiz
These towns on the Costa de la Luz have several beaches of fine golden sand designed for nudists. In CĂĄdiz you will find Bolonia, Arroyo del Cañuelo, Los Castillejos, Castilnova beach and La Mangueta beach, while in Huelva you will find Flecha de Nueva UmbrĂa, La Mata Negra and El Asperillo.
