We travel to the north of Spain to discover a beautiful region with dream beaches. Some are larger, others smaller, but all of them are worth a visit. We tell you about some of the best beaches in Cantabria.
Covachos Beach (Soto de la Marina)
It is considered one of the most beautiful in Cantabria and is located in Soto de la Marina, in the municipality of Santa Cruz de Bezana. There are several caves among the rocks that surround it, hence its name. It can be reached on foot and by stairs, although access is becoming increasingly difficult. You will also see a beautiful waterfall.
La Arnía (Piélagos, Santander)
This beach is located on the coast around Santander. It has landscapes with geological formations that give us incredible views and islets from the old coast. It also has an abrasion platform, which is a flat, rocky area that has been eroded over the centuries. It can only be visited at low tide.
Puntal Beach (Ribamontán al Mar)
This beach is located in the centre of the bay of Santander. It is a sandy ledge where the water comes in from both sides. It is 2.5 kilometres long and is a natural beauty that can be reached on foot from Somo and from where it is possible to enjoy spectacular views of the bay of Santander. It can also be reached by boat.
Beach of Langre La Grande (Langre, Ribamontán al Mar)
For many people, it is the most beautiful beach in Cantabria. It is a sandy area near the town of the same name, surrounded by cliffs. In fact, there is a 25-metre cliff that encloses the area of sand and sea, creating an idyllic setting of unique beauty. best-beaches-Cantabria
