Beaches in cabo de gata in andalusia

That Andalusia has one of the best coastlines in Spain is undeniable by looking at photographs like the one above; it belongs to one of the magnificent beaches of the Cabo de Gata Marine-Terrestrial Natural Park in NĂjar, AlmerĂa.

It is the largest and most important protected environment in the Mediterranean and, in short, a trip you can’t miss… Take a look at what we have to tell you, and set out on a tour of some of its best beaches!
The beautiful coastline of the park offers about 30 beaches of different classifications, from rustic to urban beaches to beaches for nudists.

Both coves, however, have the same excellent characteristics: Long stretches of fine golden sand (in some cases whitish), a sea that offers the cleanest crystal-clear waters and a protected natural environment that usually imposes large rocky cliffs facing the Mediterranean.

Although most of the beaches are rustic and it would be excessive to name them all, some of the most popular we could mention are Cala Grande, Cala Higuera, Agua Amarga, Cala de los Toros, La Fabriquilla or AncĂłn de Cabo de Gata, among others.

If you are looking for more atmospheric beaches with services, opt for one of the few urbanised beaches in the park, such as San Miguel de Cabo de Gata, Almadraba de Montelva, San José or Las Negras.

The Cabo de Gata Natural Park is an ideal destination for naturism lovers, as it offers plenty of beaches that are officially and unofficially recognised as nudist beaches. Some of the most popular ones are Media Luna beach, Cala Carbón, Cala de los Genoveses, Cala Príncipe, Cala del Barronal, Cala de los Amarillos, Rodalquilar or Peñón Blanco.
