The Canary beaches are the best resource to enjoy the magnificent spring and summer climate at any time of the year, and it is not necessary to cross the Atlantic to the South American countries to enjoy beautiful beaches all year round.
Although each one of them has a special charm, Lanzarote has some of the most beautiful beaches of the archipelago around its more than 250 kilometres of coastline (55 Tinajo, in towns like Yaiza, Tias or Teguise, which we will tell you about today.
Teguise is the largest town on the island, and in fact it is one of the few that crosses the entire island from east to west.
On the south-eastern side of the municipality is the famous tourist resort of Costa Teguise, while at the opposite end of the island is the coastline of Famara:
Famara
Its extensive beach of more than six and a half kilometres is located at the foot of the massif of the same name. It is divided into two areas, the Famara beach itself and the Risco beach: the former has an extension of almost 3 kilometres of fine golden sand and is an ideal place for surfing, while the latter is a rustic and wild beach that is difficult to access but is nevertheless worth a visit given its historical value (it has Las Salinas del RĂo).
Costa Teguise
Its beaches are easy to access, have excellent natural conditions and are equipped with absolutely everything you could possibly need, which is why it has become one of the most popular and crowded tourist areas.
Las Cucharas beach has 600 metres of golden sand and is located in the middle of a residential area, while Los Charcos and Playa BastiĂĄn are beautiful sandy beaches with fine white sand and crystal clear waters. Of the latter, the former is a favourite for surfers, while the latter has the best conditions for children.
