Beaches in san vicente de la barquera in cantabria

The Cantabrian town of San Vicente de la Barquera rose to fame a few years ago thanks to the famous singer and former contestant of Operación Triunfo David Bustamante, who day in and day out praised the place where he grew up.

This is not surprising, as this coastal town has a great atmosphere, charming surroundings and magnificent beaches. These are the ones we have chosen to focus on, as San Vicente has a magnificent coastline where you can enjoy a few days of relaxation.

Here are some of the best beaches in San Vicente, don’t miss them!
– El Merón: More than 2.5km of fine golden sand, very clean Atlantic waters, beautiful surrounding landscape and all the services for your comfort make it an ideal place for your traditional days of sun and beach.

– El Rosal or Tostadero: A good name for this beach, and you’ll be so comfortable that you’ll only have to go back and forth all morning. This small beach of no more than 360 metres and light sand has all kinds of facilities such as facilities for people with disabilities, toilets, showers, etc.

– El Cabo- Guerra: Rather rustic and somewhat isolated, this almost one kilometre long beach surrounded by small mountains is a perfect place to relax and disconnect; perhaps for this reason the beach does not offer any services to the visitor. It is also ideal for those who want action, as the strong waves and winds that characterise it make it a good spot for surfing.

– La Maza: This is a small golden sandy beach of just 150 metres in a semi-urban setting. However, the beach is generally not very crowded.

– Fuentes Beach: This beautiful little rustic cove combines pebbles and sand in its barely 150 metres of length, a cosy space protected by green cliffs that give it a charming appearance.

Undoubtedly, a different kind of beach destination where you can enjoy an unforgettable holiday.
