Beaches of salou on the costa dorada

The beaches of the Costa Dorada (or Costa Daurada) are one of the favourites for both Spanish and foreign tourists, and if there is one thing that never fails, it is that in any of them we will find excellent quality and an always active atmosphere.

In this sense, Salou has all of the above, which is why it has become the sun and beach destination par excellence in the area thanks to its perfect facilities and the possibility of finding accommodation to suit all budgets.

If you have decided on the area for your next holiday don’t forget the name of some of its best beaches:

– Llevant: This is the most popular beach in the city, an urban beach surrounded by a kilometre-long promenade where you will find all kinds of establishments (bars, restaurants, shops, pubs, etc.) as well as lots of sports and leisure activities.

– Els Capellans: The excellent conditions for tourism, both in terms of natural quality and facilities and services, have led to this small beach (just over 200 metres) being awarded the prestigious European Blue Flag.

– Platja Llarga: A typically Mediterranean beach surrounded by green vegetation of pine trees and scrubland next to the Salou-Tarragona road.

– Els Llenguadets: Although it does not have too many facilities apart from the basic ones (beach umbrellas for rent, soft drinks and ice cream for sale, etc.), this beach is an ideal place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big beaches and enjoy a relaxing day.

– Cala Font: Despite its small size (50 metres), this beach is quite busy during the summer months due to its proximity to the urban centre of Salou.

– Penya-Tallada: Beautiful like the previous one but much less crowded is Penya-Tallada, a 125-metre beach where you will find little more than a few establishments to buy refreshments or snacks. It is perfect for getting away from the urbanisation and overcrowding of beaches such as Llevant.
