There is no doubt that Andalusia is one of the best options for our summer holidays, as it offers a wonderful climate, magnificent beaches and a unique atmosphere.
All this is present in each of the provinces and in each of their towns: Rota, in Cadiz, is a favourite of many thanks to its magnificent coastline that stretches for more than 16 kilometres. In Rota we find both urban and rural beaches, all of them an ideal setting to enjoy a few days of relaxation and disconnection without giving up the hustle and bustle, the atmosphere and all the facilities and services.
On a natural level, these beaches are also magnificent. Not only do they offer fine golden sand and clean waters, but in many cases they are also surrounded by wooded areas where you can relax in the shade.
You will probably have to choose between a good number of beaches, so take note of some of the best:
– Urban beaches: These are the most popular and touristy beaches in Rota. Some of the best known are the beaches of Rompidillo, Chorrillo and La Costilla, enormous beaches of golden sand that are subdivided into other smaller ones such as ‘El Caracol’ or ‘Santa Marta’.
– Natural: The area of Costa Ballena is the wildest and most natural environment, as it has not allowed the construction of buildings, leaving an environmental space that is not very crowded by tourism. The beach is delimited by landscaped areas and is easily accessible from many different points nearby.
– Nudists: There is only one nudist beach in Rota. It is located between the descent of Punta Candor and the curve of the beach of La Luz, delimited by the Almadraba Park and surrounded by the rocks of Los Corrales.
After a day at the beach on any of them… A shower and back to the street!
