The province of Cadiz hides some truly magical spots. Undoubtedly, one of them is Conil de la Frontera, a coastal town located in the area of the Pueblos Blancos. Bathed by the Atlantic coast, it has more than 16 kilometres of coastline and beaches where you can enjoy the sun and the fun and lively atmosphere of the south.
The beaches of Conil are popular for the quality of the water, the sand, the services and, above all, for their incomparable beauty. There you will find different types of beaches, from more intimate and really beautiful coves, to extensive and wide beaches with no buildings, where you will enjoy completely unspoilt landscapes.Due to the geological characteristics of the coast of Conil, the beaches can be divided into two types: those in the north, which have more resistant materials and are exposed to the action of the sea, creating coves with large cliffs; and those in the south, with softer materials that have created very horizontal and wide beaches, with fine sand and the presence of dunes.
One of the best known beaches in Conil de la Frontera is El Palmar. Virgin and family-oriented, it is the ideal place to spend the summer in peace and quiet. Another of the most popular beaches is Roche, located in front of the urbanisation of the same name, which is why it is not very popular, as the main accesses are private. The latter should not be confused with the coves of Roche or Poniente, small virgin coves and cliffs with easy access that are really beautiful. Here you can practise nudism in complete tranquillity.
A must-see in Conil is the beach of Fuente del Gallo, where you will find the famous Tres Piedras (Three Stones). It is a beach of great beauty, especially at sunset. If, on the other hand, you want a more lively and youthful atmosphere, we recommend Playa del Chorrillo. Other beaches are Castilnovo, Beatles, La Fontanilla, El Roqueo, Puntalejo, Torre de Puerco and Cala del Aceite.
