If you were thinking of one last getaway to end the summer on a high note… Calpe is your next destination! The beautiful turquoise waters and the soft golden sand (or gravel) of most of its beaches make it impossible for us to decide on just a few, so here is a quick summary so that you can decide for yourself which ones are worth a visit:
– Calalga: At the end of La Fossa beach, the main beach of Calpe.
-Cala del Mallorquí: Pebble beach with beautiful views of the Peñón de Ifach.
– El Collao or Racó del Corb: Magnificent beach surrounded by towering mountains and imposing rocky cliffs.
– Les Urques: Fine whitish sand near Puerto Blanco.
– Arenal-Bol: Urban beach of excellent natural conservation with fine golden sand, tall palm trees and a promenade all around.
– Cantal Roig: Barely 200 metres of golden sand next to the fishing port.
– Playa de Levante or La Fossa: This is the main beach, so it has a great atmosphere and all kinds of services.
– Puerto Blanco: Small cove next to the marina of the same name.
– El Penyal: Beautiful natural corner at the foot of the Peñón de Ifach.
– El Racó: Just 70 metres of clear gravel from where the Príncipe de Asturias ecological promenade begins.
– Cala Gasparet: You can only get to this pebble beach by sea, which makes it even more reserved and secluded.
special. It is perfect for diving or fishing.
– La Manzanera: To be honest, it is not a very beautiful beach, and besides being a combination of sand, gravel and pebbles, it is usually crowded by the neighbours of the area.
– Les Bassetes: Next to the Bassetes marina and with views of the Peñón de Ifach.
– Playa del Morelló: Beautiful beach of fine golden sand surrounded by the Infanta Elena promenade.
