The Andalusian coast is undoubtedly one of the best sun and beach destinations in Spain, a place where you can enjoy a great atmosphere and excellent natural landscapes with plenty of good establishments at prices within everyone’s reach.
In the city of Almeria, specifically, you can enjoy more than 15 urban beaches as well as others in beautiful isolated enclaves where you can relax and disconnect.
Take a look at some of them, and plan your route through the area!
– San Miguel-Zapillo: This is a group of beaches stretching over a sandy area of more than a kilometre and a half of dark sand. They have good services and facilities on the beach and in the surrounding area.
– Nueva AlmerĂa: It is located next to the previous one and in all senses it is very similar to it: dark sand, urbanised, good services and facilities…
– Costacabana: 1,200 metres of dark sand and gravel beach bordered by a wide promenade with excellent facilities for leisure and entertainment.
– El Toyo: Approximately two kilometres long, this beach of gravel and dark sand is located in one of the most modern areas of the city and has a promenade, hotels, a golf course, a large cycle lane and many green areas in the surrounding area.
– San Miguel-Cabo de Gata: It is part of the beautiful Cabo de Gata Natural Park. With more than two and a half kilometres of white sand, this beach is surrounded by a beautiful promenade and good facilities and services.
– La Almadraba: In the same natural park you will find this semi-urban beach of 650 metres of fine white sand.
If you want quieter beaches somewhat isolated from the city you can visit La Garrofa, San Telmo, El Bobal, La TorregarcĂa, Las Amoladeras or Las Salinas, for example.
