One of the great attractions of Tenerife is that you can enjoy its beaches all year round. What’s more, the island offers beaches to suit all tastes. Today we would like to tell you about one of the most recommended: Playa JardĂn. Would you like to join us?

Playa JardĂn is one of the most famous beaches in the tourist centre of Puerto de la Cruz, in the north of the island. It was designed in the 1990s by the Canarian artist CĂ©sar Manrique and is designed to guarantee relaxation for visitors. Just getting to the beach is worth the effort. You will pass through gardens of native flora, stone paths and waterfalls. What’s more, from the beach you can enjoy wonderful views of Mount Teide.
Divided into three sections
As you can see for yourself in the images we show you in our gallery, this is a black sand beach. It is divided into three sections: Playa del Castillo, Playa del CharcĂłn and Playa de Punta Brava. And although it has a breakwater that protects it from the waves, some areas are designed for surfing.
All kinds of services
Finally, we would like to point out that the beach offers all kinds of services: showers, changing rooms, access for people with reduced mobility, sun lounger and parasol hire… What’s more, it is surrounded by a promenade that connects with cafĂ©s, terraces, gardens and children’s playgrounds.
