Ideal for families
Located in the tourist centre of Puerto del Carmen, this is a perfect family beach to go with children, as it has very calm waters. In addition, its sea is incredibly beautiful, with different shades: turquoise, blue, green… Not to mention the palm trees and cactus that serve as a backdrop.
All kinds of services
The beach is wide and has all kinds of services: showers, toilets, changing rooms, deckchairs, parasols, water sports equipment, a Red Cross base… As if that weren’t enough, in the surrounding area you can enjoy a wide range of gastronomic, night-time and leisure activities. It is also the most central beach and the easiest to access.
An ideal climate
One of the great advantages of Playa Grande over other beaches is that it is sheltered from the frequent Lanzarote winds. Therefore, here you can enjoy a very pleasant bath and even go swimming. However, you should bear in mind that during the summer the beach is full of bathers, so we recommend that you go to either side if you want to be more relaxed.
