Penon blanco beach and cala del toro cove

In the area of Cabo de Gata in Almeria there are many beaches full of charm, which have nothing to do with those of other areas crowded with tourists and with hardly a square metre on which to place a towel. On the contrary, most of them are practically wild beaches and coves, like the ones I am going to show you on this occasion.

In the town of Isleta del Moro there is a beautiful beach called Playa del Peñón Blanco (although it is also known as Playa de la Isleta). With a sand and pebble floor, it is quite solitary: it is a good idea to take a deckchair or mattress with you to avoid being disturbed by the pebbles, and to go into the water with a pair of classic “cangrejeras” (crab shrimps).
