In the area of Cabo de Gata in Almeria there are many beaches full of charm, which have nothing to do with those of other areas crowded with tourists and with hardly a square metre on which to place a towel. On the contrary, most of them are practically wild beaches and coves, like the ones I am going to show you on this occasion.
In the town of Isleta del Moro there is a beautiful beach called Playa del Peñón Blanco (although it is also known as Playa de la Isleta). And very close to it there is also a beautiful cove, perfect for lovers of nudism but also for those who want to go there with their swimming costume or bikini in good harmony.
Peñón Blanco Beach
The beach is located on one of the sides of the town. Its great beauty and its surroundings make it very suitable for nature lovers, and even more so for those who like to admire the rock formations created by the erosion of the elements and volcanism. The beach is about 250 metres long, and one of its most charming features is the presence of the little boats that still go out to sea today, just as they did decades ago. In fact, Isleta del Moro also conserves that fishing and marine charm that is so much missed in other more touristy places.
El Toro cove

It is Cala del Toro, located about two kilometres past the village. To get there you have to climb a slope, and after a ten minute walk through a grove of trees you will see the cove. With a sand and pebble floor, it is quite solitary: it is a good idea to take a deckchair or mattress with you to avoid being disturbed by the pebbles, and to go into the water with a pair of classic “cangrejeras” (crab shrimps). He who gives warning…
