Zahara de los atunes beach in cadiz

Although we often think that you have to go outside the borders of our country to find worthwhile places, the truth is that this is a completely erroneous idea that we could dismantle in a moment by showing you, for example, some of the best beaches in Spain.

This is the case of the beautiful coast of Zahara de los Atunes, in Cadiz, a very long stretch of sand almost 8 kilometres long that has already become one of those must-visit places in the province.
Fine golden sand (almost white), clean and crystal clear waters, a ‘salty’ yet calm atmosphere and a very pleasant climate for most of the year are some of the reasons why the beaches in the area have become a real treasure for tourists.

These beaches belonging to the famous Costa de la Luz stretch from the town itself to Cabo de Gracia covering Zahara and Atlanterra. They are the following: Zahara, Atlanterra, Playa de los Alemanes, Playa Cañillos and Arroyo del Cañuelo.

Most of them are perfectly equipped (lifeguards, showers, toilets, etc.) and have all the services both on the beach and in the surrounding area, where you can enjoy a lot of shops, hotels, bars and restaurants where you can have a few drinks to get rid of the heat or where you can try the delicious Andalusian cuisine to get your strength back and continue with your day at the beach.

If you are into action, don’t worry, because you can also practice a lot of water sports such as windsurfing and scuba diving.

Don’t miss either one of the stunning sunsets in Zahara de los Atunes… They are unforgettable!
