Valdearenas beach a beautiful place ideal for surfing

If you’ve had the chance to visit northern Spain, you’ll know that this area of the Iberian Peninsula hides some tremendously spectacular coastal spots. Cantabria, for example, boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in the country. Among them is Valdearenas beach, which is located in the municipality of Liencres.

Next to the Natural Park of the Liencres Dunes

As we were saying, today we would like to talk to you about Valdearenas beach, one of the two beaches next to the Liencres Dunes Nature Reserve, bordering the mouth of the Pas river and Canallave beach, which it joins at low tide. It is a beach where nudism is more than accepted.

A beautiful landscape

As you can see for yourself in the images we show you in our gallery, this is a large beach of fine golden sand. Here you will find dunes next to pine trees, although it is true that there are also rocky areas. In fact, its beautiful landscape is its main attraction. Moreover, it is important to bear in mind that from here you can contemplate spectacular sunsets.

An ideal beach for surfing

It is normal to find strong waves on Valdearenas beach, making it an ideal place for surfing. However, it is important to bear in mind that the tides are very strong and can be dangerous. On the other hand, you should know that the place has some facilities (restaurants, beach bars, security…).
