Malaga is one of the most touristy provinces in Spain, which is not surprising, as its 160-kilometre coastline offers a multitude of beaches and marinas. Inland you will also find the white villages, with their beautiful architecture, and beautiful historic centres such as Ronda, for example. We must not forget its more than 15 natural areas and its gastronomy, based on fried small fish.
A municipality that receives many tourists is Velez-Malaga, which is the most important town in the region of La Axarquia. Today we move to this place to discover one of the best beaches in the province. We are referring to the beach of Torre del Mar. Would you like to discover it?
Very popular in summer
The beach of Torre del Mar, which is located in the town of the same name, is a large urban beach with black sand. In fact, it is about 2,000 metres long and about 40 metres wide on average. It is quite a popular beach in summer. However, it is important to bear in mind that it is mainly occupied by families. And we must not forget that it is a beach full of services.
Q for quality
On the other hand, we would like to mention that this beach has been awarded the Q for quality, a distinction that the Institute for Tourism Quality offers to beaches that provide an excellent service to tourists.
A complete promenade
As you can imagine, the beach is easily accessible. In fact, you can get there directly from the promenade, where you will find numerous beach bars, as well as ice cream parlours, fountains, sports courts, parks… Below you will find our gallery, where you will find more images of this beach located in the province of Malaga.
