How about starting the year on one of the most wonderful islands in the Mediterranean? We are referring to Minorca, a corner of the Balearic Islands that is worth visiting at least once in your life.
Although the island is full of spectacular beaches, in summer many of them are invaded by mass tourism, even the most unspoilt. On Santo TomĂĄs beach, on the other hand, you can usually find a place to spread out your towel even in high season. It is located in the village of Es Migjorn, and is joined to the beaches of San Adeodato and Binigaus. Would you like to find out more? Then all you have to do is come with us!
Next to a housing estate
Santo TomĂĄs Beach is part of a large U-shaped inlet. In fact, here we can also find the sandy areas we mentioned before. Although it is located next to a housing development, whose houses and hotels are close to the shore, there is also farmland in the vicinity.
A large beach open to the sea
As you can see for yourself by taking a look at the images we show you in our gallery, the beach is characterised by being large and open to the sea. In addition, there are rocky outcrops on the breakwater, which is covered with a small leafy pine forest. Of course, its waters are calm and crystal clear, so they are perfect for swimming. However, it is also an ideal beach for strolling.
Frequented by Menorcans
What many people like about this beach is that it is frequented by locals. However, it is also possible to find tourists, especially those staying in this area of Menorca. We leave you with our gallery below, where you will find more images of this Menorcan beach. Don’t miss it!
