Avoiding beach erosion

Santa Maria del Mar Beach is an urban sandy area framed between two breakwaters, which aim to reduce erosion on the beach. It is the continuation of the Playa de la Victoria, extending from the cemetery to the height of Puerta Tierra.

Very frequented by families

One of the corners of this beach that is worth mentioning is the part of the promenade, where you will find a large semicircular viewpoint. From here you can enjoy beautiful views of the old town. The beach is very popular with families, especially on Sundays in summer. However, it is important to bear in mind that there are also many bodysurfing enthusiasts who come here, as there are good waves on stormy days.
