If you live in Catalonia or are going to spend the summer in this autonomous region, you are in luck, as its coastline is one of the most beautiful in the whole of Spain. Of all the Catalan coastline, the Costa Brava undoubtedly stands out as one of the favourite summer holiday destinations for tourists. Among the many beaches to be found in the province of Girona, Santa Cristina stands out, a magnificent cove located in the town of Lloret de Mar, next to the hermitage of the same name.
Would you like to get to know this magnificent beach in more depth? Then don’t miss the following!
A privileged location
If Santa Cristina beach is one of the most popular beaches on the Costa Brava, it is largely due to its privileged location. This cove of fine sand is located between two large mounds that shelter it from both the wind and the waves. Thus, its waters are always calm, as well as being crystal clear and shallow. In addition, the pine trees that surround it provide shelter from the sun.
Ideal for snorkelling lovers
The beach, which has different services (beach bars, lifeguard, showers…) is ideal for families and snorkelling or diving lovers. However, to get to Santa Cristina you will have to walk for quite a while along a sandy path that, fortunately, offers shade thanks to the pine trees.
Divided into two areas
Santa Cristina beach is divided in two. On one side we find the larger sandy area, which is about 500 metres long, while Cala Treumal is much more intimate and wild. Here is our gallery, where you will find more images of Santa Cristina beach in Lloret de Mar. Don’t miss it!
