Ris beach is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful beaches in Cantabria. It is in Noja and is more than two kilometres long. Specifically, 2,200 metres of fine golden sand, set in a truly incredible landscape. Ris beach stretches westwards as far as the Joyel estuary. On its eastern side there is an area of rocks that is much appreciated by those who like to dive. For all these reasons, and others that you will discover for yourselves, you cannot leave Cantabria without visiting Ris beach. It would be unforgivable, especially for you who would be missing out on one of the jewels of the Cantabrian coastline.
Ris beach is the smaller of the two beaches in the town of Noja. The other is TrengandĂn, and although both are incredibly beautiful, Ris beach is more secluded and special.
Very well equipped
Visiting Ris beach is a good idea at any time of the year. During the summer months you will probably find more bathers and hustle and bustle than usual, so perhaps it is better to visit it in any other season, at least if you want to enjoy its beauty in a quieter way.
In any case, Ris beach is a treasure. It is so good and well cared for that it has the Blue Flag symbol. It has all the services, from showers and toilets to sun lounger hire. Everything you need to guarantee a perfect day at the beach. In fact, it is one of the best equipped beaches in the area in terms of services, access and facilities.
Thanks to its geographical and climatic conditions, Ris beach is perfect for water sports such as surfing and diving. It faces north, which favours the entry of waves, something highly valued by surfers, who prefer it to other beaches in the area.
