In Galicia there are fantastic beaches, such as Razo beach. Located in the municipality of Carballo, A Coruña, it boasts an extension of more than 800 metres long and 30 metres wide. It is a protected semi-urban beach that does not have a promenade but is ideal for some sports such as surfing. Its waves, golden sand and the fact that it has been awarded a blue flag make it a popular beach throughout the year.
In addition to all this, it has disabled access and marks the beginning of the famous Costa da Morte.
Artsurfcamp, the best option to learn to surf
After so many compliments, it’s time to talk about Artsurfcamp, a surf school that was founded here in 2004. The optimal natural conditions make it an ideal place to learn to surf, so Razo beach has become one of the main meeting points for surfing enthusiasts.
A group of friends started a project that is still growing today. Practising sport and having fun are their premises and over time Artsurfcamp has become more and more professional. In fact, nowadays it is the only surfcamp that offers accommodation in Razo.
This surf school in Galicia is for children and teenagers (between 10 and 20 years old) as well as for adults. Anyone can enjoy surfing and additional activities such as yoga, stretching, long-skate, barbecues or parties. You can also combine learning English with the lessons.
We leave you with a video so that you can see that surfing and good vibes are guaranteed thanks to innovative projects such as Artsurfcamp.
