To the north of the Bay of Cadiz we find Rota, a municipality with the Castillo de Luna, the current headquarters of the Town Hall and the Tourist Board, as one of its most significant buildings. What we like most about Rota, however, are its beaches, bordered by promenades and numerous green and wooded areas, although you can also find unspoilt sandy beaches further afield.
Today we would like to talk to you about Playa de la Costilla, considered by many to be one of the best beaches in the province of Cadiz. Would you like to join us?
A beach full of services
La Costilla Beach is the busiest beach in Rota. Its main access coincides with the most central and touristic streets of the municipality. So it will come as no surprise that the beach has a promenade and restaurants and bars in the surrounding area. Of course, it is a beach with all kinds of services: toilets, showers, sun lounger and parasol rental, water sports… So it is perfect for the whole family.
Awarded with the Blue Flag
For many years, Playa de la Costilla has been awarded the Blue Flag thanks to its optimal hygienic-sanitary conditions. On the other hand, we would like to mention that this summer the beach has more than 1,100 linear metres of piles to further improve access.
A very popular beach
As you can see in the photos, this is a beach with golden sands and moderate waves. And although it tends to be very crowded, thanks to its size there is room for everyone.
