We have been showing you beaches in different countries around the world for a few days now, so today we would like to stay in our country, which has nothing to envy to other places on the planet as far as coastline is concerned. And the fact is that throughout the length and breadth of Spain we can find sandy beaches to suit all tastes.
Some say that the best beaches in our country are to be found in the north. That’s why today we’ve decided to move to Asturias to tell you about the Concha de Artedo beach, a place worth visiting. Would you like to do it with us?
In perfect conditions
As its name suggests, La Concha de Artedo beach, located in the municipality of Cudillero, is shaped like a shell. With crystal-clear waters, the beach offers golden sand at low tide and pebbles on the upper part. The most important thing is that it is always in perfect condition, which is why it is usually awarded the coveted Blue Flag.
A beautiful natural environment
Undoubtedly, one of the great attractions of this place is its natural environment, as the beach is part of the Protected Landscape of the West Coast. It is also important to bear in mind that it is quite sheltered, making it safe for bathing.
A well-equipped beach
This 700-metre beach is quite well equipped, so it tends to have a large number of bathers, especially during the high season. As a curiosity, it is believed that during the Second World War some submarines took refuge on its seabed. We leave you with our gallery below, where you will find more images of this beautiful beach in Asturias. Don’t miss it!
