Beach of la concha in san sebastian

We are getting closer and closer to our precious summer holidays and many of us are already starting to think about our next destination.

If you want sun and sand, a good atmosphere and a wide range of culture and leisure activities, La Concha beach in San Sebastian is your ideal destination.
This is a huge bay (1,350 metres) in the shape of a crescent located right in the heart of the city, and the beach is one of the area’s main tourist attractions.

Although in general terms the beach is a real marvel thanks to its beautiful surroundings and its crystal clear waters, the truth is that its ground is not really convincing: it is true that the beach has fine white sand, but this is often intermingled with other areas of small pebbles that can become somewhat uncomfortable for those of us who are not used to being accompanied by sun loungers or mats.

The views are one of the most spectacular things about La Concha, and in addition to contemplating the beautiful mountains that protect both sides of the bay, you will have privileged views of the small island of Santa Clara, one of the most traditional sights of the city.

Although all of the above is already phenomenal in itself, what makes La Concha even more special is the charming enclave in which it is located. San Sebastian is undoubtedly one of the most elegant and glamorous coastlines in all of Spain.

So, when you get tired of sunbathing, you can take a stroll along the beautiful promenade that runs along the beach, have a cool drink of txakoli (a typical Basque white wine) in front of the beach, explore the old town or stroll among the stately houses at the end of the bay.
