La barrosa beach in cadiz

The Andalusian coast is one of the best holiday destinations on the whole peninsula, and although most Spanish beaches are wonderful, lying on them and enjoying the gentle sea breeze accompanied by the salty Andalusian atmosphere has a special flavour.

This is just a small part of what you can find in the marvellous beach of La Barrosa in Cadiz, a very extensive sandy area eight kilometres long that offers an ideal environment for the perfect day of sun and beach for anyone: A peaceful and warm Mediterranean climate, fine white sand, very clean light blue waters and an atmosphere capable of making anyone feel good.

This beach in Chiclana de la Frontera offers two very different atmospheres, and the fact is that under the same name this coast is divided into two sections: The first is the more touristy one, a leisure area specially delimited by the promenade that runs along it from the well-known Torre del Puerco to the cliff area offering visitors a huge variety of bars, restaurants, discotheques, beach bars, good hotels, shops and activities (on the beach and in the town) to guarantee fun days with anything within easy reach.

The second stretch, however, is characterised by a wilder environment than the previous one, an ideal place if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle and disconnect for a few hours. The area is characterised by the same beautiful turquoise waters on a long shore and by the soft sand of exceptional quality, although this time all of this is enhanced by a charming environment of pine trees that protect it from the outside world.

The excellent quality of La Barrosa has made it one of the most popular beach destinations in our country and has earned it the Blue Flag of the European Union.
