What do you think about starting the weekend from the Basque Country? Specifically, today we are going to the province of GuipĂșzcoa to tell you about one of the most highly-rated beaches in this autonomous community in northern Spain. We are referring to the beach of Santiago de Deba, also known as Deba beach.

It also includes Lapari beach
As we were saying, Deba beach is in the municipality of the same name. Specifically, it is located on the right bank of the mouth of the river that bears the municipality’s name. Very popular in summer, the beach stretches for 400 metres, and also includes Lapari beach.
With strong waves
As you can see for yourself by taking a look at the images in our gallery, this beach has golden sands. As it is open to the sea, it is a sandy beach with strong waves. It is therefore ideal for water sports such as surfing, canoeing and windsurfing. In fact, here you can find one of the biggest waves on the Basque coast.

On the other hand, we would like to mention that it is a beach full of services, where you can find toilets, awning area, bar, cafeteria, restaurant, cabins, parking, chair rental, canoes and awnings… In addition, you should know that it is a sandy area with access for people with reduced mobility and with surveillance.
