We’ll never tire of telling you that you don’t need to go to the Caribbean to enjoy enchanted sands and turquoise waters on a par with the best tropical paradise. If you have visited the north of Spain, you will surely agree with us, as it is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, such as Covachos Beach.
In Santa Cruz de Bezana, very close to the city of Santander and about three kilometres from Soto de la Marina, is this magical nudist beach that seems to be enchanted by the emerald green colour of its waters and the spectacular surroundings. Undoubtedly, this is a beach of great beauty, for some the best in Cantabria, so it is worth discovering it in more depth. Will you join us?
Castro de Covachos
Above all, the isthmus that forms every morning (due to the low tide) that joins the beach with a tiny rock located 100 metres from it, called Castro de Covachos, is particularly striking. This small treasure of the Cantabrian coast offers, thanks to its location, very clean waters, in front of fine golden sand. Can you ask for anything more?
Difficult access
It is so beautiful that the locals don’t want people to talk about it too much so that, like many other beaches on the Spanish coast, it ends up being spoilt. However, it will be difficult for this to happen, as it is necessary to go down some rocks to reach it. In short, the fact that it is quite isolated and that access on foot is quite complicated means that this little paradise is not crowded with bathers. Moreover, it is also influenced by the fact that it does not have any kind of services.
Prudence
Finally, it is important to warn that you should be cautious when bathing due to the strong waves and the steep slope to access the water, which is quite steep.
