There is no need to travel to the other side of the world to contemplate true paradises. In fact, we are lucky to live in a country that stands out for the beauty of its beaches. In Andalusia, for example, we can find the marvellous coast of Cadiz, a province that has conquered Greeks, Romans, Visigoths and Arabs.
Among the many beaches in the province that are worth discovering today we would like to highlight Cortadura Beach, the only natural sandy area in the city of Cadiz. It is also the longest in the municipality, with a length of almost 4 kilometres. Would you like to discover it? Well, all you have to do is come with us!
A natural paradise
Cortadura Beach is located in the south of Cadiz. Specifically, it is located on the sandy barrier that joins the municipality with San Fernando. Classified as virgin, this natural paradise is made up of dunes and a rocky area that is only exposed at low tide.
Rich fauna and flora
Apart from its natural aspect, what is most surprising about this beach is its rich fauna and flora. It is also important to note that it is an ideal place for water sports. However, these can only be practised in the areas marked out for this purpose.
Beautiful walkways protecting the dune system
Special mention should be made of the wooden walkways scattered throughout the dune system, which not only serve to reach the beach from the car park, but also add an extra dose of beauty to the landscape while protecting it at the same time. However, the dunes are quite fragmented due to the passage of bathers. We leave you with our gallery below, where you will find more images of Cortadura Beach. Don’t miss it!
