Although the end of summer is just around the corner, we can still enjoy our coastline for a few more days. That’s why at Playa Calas we’re not going to stop showing you the best beaches in our country. Today, for example, we are going to take a look at Menorca, one of the most beautiful islands on the planet.
There are many spectacular beaches to be found on the island, but today we want to focus on one of them: CavallerĂa Beach. Would you like to visit it? We assure you that you won’t regret it!
Unspoilt sandy beach with crystal-clear waters
CavallerĂa Beach is one of the most famous beaches in Menorca and it is no wonder, since it is a beautiful unspoilt sandy beach with crystal-clear waters and reddish-coloured sand. It is located in the north of the island, quite far from the urban centres. However, the car park is not too far away.
Red clay
What has made this beach one of the most popular on the island is the red clay that many bathers use to cover their bodies. It seems that this clay has beneficial properties for health and beauty. It can be extracted from the rocky hills. It is also important to bear in mind that behind the beach is the CamĂ de Cavalls, one of the most famous hiking routes on the island.
Perfect for diving
If you like snorkelling and diving, this beach will also be perfect for you, as its seabed is very attractive. The only bad thing about CavallerĂa is that in summer it is usually very crowded. We leave you with our gallery below, where you will find more images of this wonderful Menorcan beach. Don’t miss it!
