If we said goodbye last Friday talking about the best beaches on the Costa del Sol, we want to start the last week of April talking about one of the beaches we included in the list: Burriana beach.
Located at the eastern end of Nerja, it is one of the beaches in this part of Andalusia that usually receives the prestigious and coveted “Blue Flag”, awarded by the European Union, and the “Q” for Quality Tourism on Beaches”. Do you want to know why this beach receives so many awards? Well, we’ll tell you why!
With few crowds
Burriana beach is about 800 metres long and an average of 40 metres wide. Although the sea has a moderate swell, it gets deep relatively quickly. Being a bit far from the city centre, many tourists don’t even realise how great this beach is, so they miss it. The good thing about it is that it is not as crowded as other places on the Costa del Sol.
Plenty of services
The beach has a lot of services, such as pedaloes for rent, hammock areas, beach showers, playgrounds for children, volleyball nets, public toilets… In addition, in the area you will find a lot of beach bars, bars and restaurants, most of them with indoor and outdoor areas.
A lot to offer
And as the beach is very long, it is perfect for pleasant walks both at sunrise and sunset, which is a marvellous spectacle. And if all this is not enough for you, at Burriana beach you can also go hiking along the cliffs, dive in its crystal-clear waters and do all kinds of water activities, such as windsurfing, sailing…
