A lanzada beach in galicia

Most of us have heard about how magnificent the coasts of the Galician RĂas Baixas are, beautiful sandy beaches that contrast with the immensity of the dense nature that usually spreads around them.

On this occasion we would like to take you to one of the most beautiful beaches on the Galician coast, A Lanzada beach in Sanxenxo, a vast stretch of sand almost two and a half kilometres long that curves around a beautiful natural environment of green vegetation, mountains and rocks that defiantly plunge into the sea.

The bay of A Lanzada is characterised by fine white sand bathed on the shore by turquoise waters that will delight both those who are simply looking for a cool dip (and so cool, because its waters come from the Atlantic Ocean itself!) and those who have come north in search of good waves for surfing.

Although this sport is more commonly practised in winter, during the summer you may feel like discovering the area’s beautiful seabed by practising other water sports such as snorkelling or scuba diving.

If you have been on the beach for a few hours and you get tired of so much sun you can visit some of the nearby attractions such as the island of Ons, the natural caves, its beautiful surroundings, the aerodromes or some of the nearby hermitages which you can reach, like the beach, by public transport such as the bus or by car, boat or even on foot, we leave that up to you!

In short, a rustic and unspoilt beach like few others you will have seen in our country… A must on your route to the north!
