Although it is not as well known or as highly valued as the Costa Brava, the Costa Dorada also has a lot to offer travellers, such as its almost 90 kilometres of coastline, where you can find incredible coastal villages and marvellous and varied beaches of fine golden sand.

One of the most interesting towns on the coast of Tarragona is Salou, which beyond the famous Port Aventura amusement park, offers sandy beaches that are worth visiting. Today we want to tell you about one of the best: Cala Penya Tallada. Would you like to discover it? Well, all you have to do is come with us!

A beach located between cliffs

Cala Penya Tallada is located on the cape of Salou, just 4 kilometres from the centre of this tourist town and next to Punta Roja. As you can see for yourself by taking a look at the images we show you in our gallery, it is a small cove located between cliffs and surrounded by lush vegetation.

Crystal clear waters

With fine sand, this beach surprises visitors with its crystal-clear waters, which invite you to take a dip and are ideal for snorkelling. To get there you will have to go down some stairs. Fortunately, it is a descent that does not involve any difficulty.

A beach that remains practically untouched

However, it is important to bear in mind that this small beach has no services or facilities. In fact, it is practically unspoilt, something that is becoming less and less common along the Spanish coastline. Moreover, unlike many other beaches in the area, its level of occupation tends to be low. We leave you with our gallery below, where you will find more images of this beach located in Salou. Don’t miss it!
