Bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, the island of Lanzarote offers spectacular beaches and coves, some of which have achieved worldwide fame, such as Papagayo or Famara. However, there are other lesser-known spots that also deserve international recognition. This is the case of Los Caletones, which has nothing to do with the typical black sand beaches of the Canary Islands.
Located in Ărzola, Los Caletones beach surprises with its white sand and its natural state. Would you like to discover more details about this corner of Lanzarote? Well, you know what you have to do! Don’t miss anything we tell you below!
A great landscape value
As we were saying, today we are going to the picturesque village of Ărzola to discover a spectacular unspoilt beach. We are referring to Los Caletones, where you will find the whitest sand in all of Lanzarote. In fact, it is a group of coves with crystal-clear waters, calm waves and great scenic value. The fine sand and blankets of vegetation coexist with the lava rocks and the fascinating views of Roque del Este and Alegranza.
El CaletĂłn Blanco, a natural swimming pool with crystalline waters
The best known of these coves is the CaletĂłn Blanco, a natural pool of crystalline waters that not only stands out for its great natural beauty, but also because its sand is supposed to have curative properties. Thanks to the protection of the rocks, some of these coves are perfect for the youngest members of the family.
