If you are a follower of this website you will know that we are passionate about the Costa Brava, the coastal area that starts in Blanes and ends at the border with France. It is undoubtedly one of the best places in Spain and even in the world to spend your summer holidays, not only because of its spectacular coves and beaches, but also because it hides some tremendously beautiful villages.
One of the most beautiful towns on the Costa Brava is Begur, which offers a coastline of unparalleled beauty, with cliffs, forests of lush vegetation, cold, crystal-clear waters and an incredible underwater sea bed. Although all the beaches and coves of Begur are worth a visit, today we would like to tell you about what we consider to be the three most beautiful. Would you like to join us?
Aiguablava
First of all, we would like to talk about Aiguablava, a cove of fine, golden sand and crystal-clear waters that, despite conserving its natural beauty, is excellently conditioned. In fact, it is even easy to access, something that is not the case with many other beaches on the Costa Brava.
Red Island
Another cove we love is Illa Roja, an internationally renowned nudist beach. The most characteristic feature of this place is the reddish-coloured rocky islet that presides over the beach and which, as you may have deduced, gives the cove its name. As in the previous case, we also find transparent waters, although in this case the sand is coarser. On the other hand, you should know that it has no services.
Sa Tuna beach
Finally, we would like to talk about Sa Tuna, a rocky cove that, of course, also offers clean and crystalline waters. It is only accessible by the coastal path along the rocks and by sea. On the beach you will find old fishermen’s cottages that have not lost their charm.
