The quietest beaches in menorca

Cala Escorxada1
If we had to recommend just one place to spend your summer holidays, Menorca would be the place to go, as this island is one of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean. One of the great attractions of this place is its beautiful coastline, so many times the beaches are really crowded, especially when summer comes. As a consequence, we cannot always be as relaxed as we would like to be.

So that you can enjoy Menorca while escaping the hustle and bustle, today we are going to recommend some of the quietest beaches on the island. Will you join us?

Es Talaier

Es TalaierThe first beach we are going to recommend is Es Talaier, a small unspoilt sandy beach located to the south of Ciutadella. Although at weekends and in high season it can get a little crowded, the atmosphere is still quite calm. As in most of the beaches in the south, the waters are turquoise and the sand is fine and white.

Escorxada Cove

Cala EscorxadaYou’re unlikely to find many people at Cala Escorxada, among other things because it’s more than an hour’s walk to get there. Besides, there are no services of any kind here. Even so, the excursion is worthwhile.

Pilar Cove

Cala PilarA beach that could not be missing from the list is Cala Pilar, as only hikers and those lucky enough to have a boat usually come here. However, the walk it takes to get to the beach is well worth it. If you don’t believe it, take a look at our article “Cala Pilar, a spectacular unspoilt beach in the north of Menorca”.

Pregonda Cove

Cala PregondaAlso in the north we find Cala Pregonda, a beach of red sand and a somewhat desolate appearance with crystalline waters. Without a doubt, a visit to this beach is highly recommended. However, the path from the car park is quite long and there is no shade whatsoever. Perhaps that is why there are not usually many bathers.
