The most recommended beaches in valencia

playa-Valencia
Few Spanish destinations are as touristy as the Valencian Community, and it goes without saying that this is not only because of its famous paellas. The climate is very pleasant and the beaches are second to none in Europe, which is why they attract tourists from all corners of the world year after year.

In this article I am going to focus on some of the best beaches in the province of Valencia, which, as you will see, are wonderful for several reasons. Shall we begin?

La Devesa beach (Valencia)

playa-de-la-devesaIt is about 15 minutes from the city of Valencia and you should know that it is also known as Playa de la Malladeta. It is almost 5 kilometres long and 35 metres wide, so it is not difficult to lay out your towel in months such as July and August. Moreover, as it is a relatively unspoilt beach, it is not as busy as others with more services. However, don’t worry about how to get there, as it is easy to get there by car or on foot.

The beach, which is part of the Albufera Natural Park and allows nudism, is divided into three areas: north, central and south. This last one is the most beautiful of them all, and on top of that, it allows us to enjoy such a recommendable accommodation as the Parador Nacional de El Saler.

RacĂł de Mar Beach (Canet de Berenguer)

playa-raco-de-marIn Canet de Berenguer, in the region of Campo de Murviedro, we have the possibility of bathing in one of the most beautiful beaches in the province. Its golden-coloured dunes, mixed with the local flora and fauna, make its 1,400 metres long and 80 metres wide an ideal place to relax and enjoy the view. The transparency of its waters is one of its strong points, as are the services it offers, such as the dinghy sailing and windsurfing courses that take place during the summer.

Terranova beach (Oliva)

playa-TerranovaIn the municipality of Oliva, which is located in the region of La Safor, we find the beach of Terranova, which has the particularity of being located between two ravines. It is 1,750 metres long and 80 metres wide, so it is not exactly small. It has fine sand and is surrounded by dunes, while its waters are as clean as you would expect from one of the best beaches in Valencia. It is a virgin beach of average occupancy that I recommend to anyone who travels to the capital of the Turia in summer.

San Antonio beach (Cullera)

playa-san-antonio-culleraIn Cullera, a town of some 23,000 inhabitants that belongs to the Ribera Baja region, everyone talks about the San Antonio beach. It is urban, measures some 2,000 metres in length and is located in an area of restaurants and hotels that live off its charms. Its promenade is highly recommended and its waters are very clean despite its location, which is why it is one of those that usually receives distinctions such as the Blue Flag.

Puig beach (El Puig)

playa-El-PuigIn El Puig, in the Huerta Norte region, it is known as the Val-Play Puig beach. It is about 900 metres long and 40 metres wide and is full of fine sand. Its promenade is very nice, as well as the palm trees just a few metres from the shore. It has all kinds of facilities and services such as lifeguards, toilets, litter bins, footbaths, parking, a bio-healthy park, beach umbrellas…
