Known for being home to Mount Teide, the highest peak in Spain, the island of Tenerife has much more to offer travellers, such as almost virgin landscapes of volcanic sand and beaches with all kinds of services.
Today we are taking you to this corner of the Canary Islands to discover some of its most recommended beaches. Would you like to join us? We assure you that you won’t regret it!
Benijo Beach
First of all, we would like to talk about Benijo Beach, which is escorted by Roque Benijo and Roque La Rapadura. It is an unspoilt spot of black sand where you can enjoy wonderful sunsets.
Beach of El Bollullo
Another beach we recommend is El Bollullo, also with black sand. It is located on the edge of a cliff and offers ideal conditions for surfing.
Beach of El Médano
In the municipality of Granadilla de Abona we find El Médano, another beach in Tenerife that is well worth a visit. It is perfect for water sports lovers. It also offers high quality services and ideal conditions for bathing.
La Tejita
Next to the previous beach is La Tejita, an ideal spot for surfing in any of its modalities. However, you should bear in mind that the area is classified as a protected natural area, so you will not be able to reach it by car.
Garden Beach
We would also like to tell you about the Playa JardĂn complex, which is made up of Playa JardĂn, Playa Chica and Punta Brava. This is one of the most emblematic places in Puerto de la Cruz.
Las Teresitas Beach
Finally, let’s talk about Las Teresitas Beach, one of the most emblematic beaches in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. It is a golden sandy beach full of palm trees. It is perfect for families, as the waves are calm. It is also full of services.
