We are lucky to live in a country with a tremendously beautiful and varied coastline. In Catalonia, for example, we find the Costa Brava, where you can enjoy crystal-clear waters both on wide beaches and in coves hidden among lush vegetation. You can also discover charming seaside villages.
It is extremely difficult to choose just a few beaches on the coast of northern Catalonia. Nevertheless, today we are going to recommend five beaches on the Costa Brava that are well worth a visit. Of course, we are open to suggestions.
Pola Cove
First of all, we would like to talk about Cala Pola, a small beach in Tossa de Mar that looks like a swimming pool from above. The only problem is that in high season it tends to fill up with people. For this reason, we recommend you arrive very early.
Aiguablava
Of all the spectacular beaches in Begur, we would like to highlight Aiguablava, a small and picturesque beach, perfect for relaxing. If you have the opportunity to visit this corner of the Costa Brava, we recommend you to contemplate the views from Punta d’Es Muts.
Boadella Cove
In Lloret de Mar we would like to recommend Cala Boadella, a beautiful, practically unspoilt beach surrounded by cliffs and vegetation. It is important to bear in mind that nudism is common at one end of the beach.
Santa Cristina Beach
Another recommended beach in Lloret de Mar is Santa Cristina, although it is true that it is one of the most frequented. It is a beautiful place sheltered from the wind and offers calm, crystal-clear waters. In addition, you will find different services.
Estreta Cove
Finally, we would like to suggest Cala Estreta, a narrow cove located in PalamĂłs where nudists and textile bathers coexist. It has an unspoilt appearance and stands out for its natural and scenic value.
