The most recommended beaches in castellon

Playa-Norte-de-Peniscola
Castellón is undoubtedly one of the best places in Spain to spend your summer holidays, because as well as concealing beautiful natural spots and offering good tourist infrastructures, it has more than 120 kilometres of coastline. This is what is known as the Costa Azahar, which includes the towns of Vinaroz, Benicarló, Peñíscola, Oropesa del Mar, Benicasim and Moncófar.

On the coast of Castellón you can find some of the most charming sandy beaches in the Valencian Community. Today we’ll show you five of the most recommendable ones. Will you join us?

North beach of Peñíscola

Playa-Norte-de-Peniscola1First of all, we would like to talk about the North Beach of Peñíscola, which is the one closest to the old town. It is equipped with all kinds of services, including access walkways and infrastructures for people with reduced mobility, and offers clean waters.

Els Terrers

Els-TerrersIn Benicasim we find Els Terrers, which stands out for the quality of its waters and the services it offers to bathers. It is important to bear in mind that it is a perfect beach for children, as it is protected from currents and strong winds. For this reason, it is also perfect for water sports such as sailing.

La Romana

La-RomanaIn Alcocéber we find La Romana, a beach located to the south of a dune system of high ecological value. It offers fine sand, transparent waters and an environment full of vegetation. Here you will find areas for sports and children’s play areas.

El Carregador

Playa-del-CarregadorAlso in Alcocéber is El Carregador, a beach that offers activities for all ages: beach volleyball championships, sailing school, children’s play area, skate rental, trampolines…

La Concha Beach in Oropesa del Mar

Playa-de-la-ConchaFinally, we would like to recommend La Concha beach in Oropesa del Mar, which is located in an urban environment. It has a promenade, car park and access for people with reduced mobility.
