As you know, you don’t need to travel to another country to discover incredible beaches. In fact, we live in a country with beaches to suit all tastes: urban, secluded, unspoilt, with all kinds of services, small coves… In some corners of Spain we can even find the most unusual beaches.
Today on this website we want to focus on the most peculiar beaches, not only in our country, but also in the rest of the world. Would you like to discover some of the most striking beaches in the world? Then we recommend that you don’t miss any of what we tell you below!
Hidden Beach
As it could not be otherwise, we are going to start by talking about Hidden Beach, one of the most surprising beaches on the planet. Also known as Playa del Amor, it is located in the Marietas Islands, in Mexico. It is a hidden beach that is protected by UNESCO.
Anse Source d’Argent
We would also like to talk about Anse Source d’Argent, considered by many to be one of the best beaches on the planet. It is located on La Digue, an island in the Seychelles. It surprises both for its crystal-clear waters and its incredible granite rock formations.
Giant’s Causeway
The Giant’s Causeway, which is located in Northern Ireland, could not be missing from this list. The thousands of basalt columns here have been shaped over millennia by volcanic eruptions. The formations are in precise hexagonal shapes and arranged like organ pipes.
Papakolea
From Northern Ireland we move to Hawaii, and more specifically to the Big Island, to discover Papakolea, a beach that is surprising for the colour of its sand: green.
Las Catedrales Beach
We would like to finish by talking about a Spanish beach. One of the most striking beaches in our country is Playa de las Catedrales, which is located in Ribadeo, Galicia. It is surprising for the natural arches and caves that surround it.
