As we have already mentioned on numerous occasions, the Costa Brava is full of beautiful beaches, although you should bear in mind that most of them have long since ceased to be unspoilt. However, although you will find facilities in some of them, they have not lost their natural beauty.

Although they are in the minority, it is also possible to find some wild sandy beaches in this beautiful corner of Catalonia, and today we’ll show you four of the best! Would you like to join us?

Estreta Cove

cala-estretaFirst of all, we would like to talk about Cala Estreta, one of the most secluded coves on the Costa Brava. Located in PalamĂłs, it stands out for its high natural and scenic value. The cove is divided in two by a rocky outcrop and is not home to a single building.

Taballera Cove

cala-taballeraIn El Port de la Selva we find Cala Taballera (or Cala Tavallera), a beautiful beach located in Cap de Creus. It is a two-hour walk to get there, but the reward is worth it, as it is a virgin cove with shallow waters surrounded by a wonderful natural environment.

Gola del Ter

gola-del-terThe Gola del Ter beach, also known as Fonollera beach, could not be missing from this list. It is located in Torroella de MontgrĂ, and offers one of the most peaceful spots on the Costa Brava. It is important to bear in mind that this long beach of fine golden sand is of great geological interest.

Sa Futadera Cove

cala-sa-futaderaOf course, we are also going to talk about Cala Sa Futadera, a completely unspoilt beach located on the road between Tossa de Mar and Sant Feliu de GuĂxols. Here you will find crystal-clear waters, rocks and a pine forest. What’s more, from the top of the cliff you can enjoy marvellous views.
