Spending your holidays with your family means enjoying a few days in the company of your children, a few moments that may be more difficult to spend together during the year. That’s why today we’re going to give you some ideas of the best national beaches to go to with children, so that you have the chance to have a great time in one of the places that children love the most: with the sand and the sea.
In the south
The beach of San Miguel in Almeria is located in Cabo de Gata, in a natural park where the youngest members of the family can enjoy the lighthouse that is located here, and you can visit the salt flats together, which begins on the Pirates’ Route… You will discover the rest for yourselves… In Malaga, on the other hand, there is the Golden Mile, a very narrow beach, perfect for controlling the children while they are playing, and with garden areas around it to continue their summer adventures.
In the north
Let’s move on to Asturias. In Llanes is the beach of Poo, a very quiet place, perfect to enjoy a few days of relaxation and games on this fine white sand. When the tide comes in, you’ll think you’re in a swimming pool rather than in the sea… In Hondarribia, in the Basque Country, you can enjoy a clean, calm sea, with a beach near the town and with all the necessary infrastructures.
The Mar Menor
The water of the beaches of the Mar Menor is quite calm and with a higher temperature than those of the Mediterranean, something that will please the little ones who won’t feel the cold when bathing and will be able to do it more comfortably (and with more peace and quiet for you). In La Manga the beach has hardly any waves and is not overcast, which is great for children.
