The best beaches of teguise in lanzarote

Visiting any of the islands of the Canary archipelago is a real pleasure at any time of the year. Not only do they have beautiful landscapes that are well worth contemplating and an active atmosphere all year round, but they also maintain placid subtropical temperatures almost 365 days of the year.
Villa de Teguise is one of the best known destinations on the islands, and being the largest municipality of Lanzarote (263 km2) means that it has a large number of beaches to offer its visitors.

Do you want to know some of the most popular ones? Here they are!
– Playa del Ancla: This is a small cove quite far from the centre of Costa Teguise, making it a relaxed place to spend the day. Recently remodelled, it is a beach that is not too crowded but nevertheless has good facilities.

– Playa BastiĂĄn: A quiet, family beach characterised by its fine dark sand and calm waters with little swell. The scenery of the area, the lack of crowds (compared to the other beaches) and the barbecue facilities make it ideal for a complete day of sun and beach.

– Las Cucharas: This is the main beach on the Costa Teguise, so it has all the facilities and services you could need. With fine golden sand and somewhat choppy waters, this is a good beach both for those who want to enjoy a day of relaxation and for those who prefer to enjoy fun water activities such as surfing or scuba diving.

– Famara: Its large extension between the village of Famara and the massif of the same name means that you will always find a place to lay your towel. Besides being a beach with excellent natural conditions, in Famara you will be able to enjoy a lot of water sports such as surfing or diving (there is a sunken ship near the shore).

Other beaches worth visiting in the area are Los Charcos and El Jablillo.
