The best beaches in marbella

Playas-Marbella-Malaga
Every year more and more people decide to visit the beaches of Marbella during their holidays, and when something is good, why keep looking? In the heart of the Costa del Sol, Marbella is a lively town where the atmosphere is lively at any time of the day. Moreover, we can find from budget accommodation to 5 star hotels in Marbella, depending on what we are looking for. But, apart from its history and populated streets, the beaches of the Andalusian city have nothing to envy to other more sought-after destinations, as we can find no less than 23 beaches in 27 kilometres of coastline. Do you want to know some of them? Read on.

El Faro Beach

Next to the marina, right in the centre of the city, is El Faro beach. Although it is normally very busy, due to its central location, it is also one of the meeting points of the area. For this reason, shops and restaurants line almost the entire promenade, a route that is also common at sunset. It is a small and reserved space, ideal for families. In addition, and thanks to the promenade, if you visit Marbella in seasons other than summer, you can take a leisurely stroll along the seafront and watch the sunset from the sand.

Venus Beach

Also in the centre of the city is the Venus beach, located between the old port and the Marbella Marina. It is 400 metres long, so it is a little wider than El Faro beach. However, during the summer it is quite busy, as it is located on the promenade. Watching the sunset from Venus beach is one of the wonders the city has to offer.

Fontanilla Beach

Without a doubt, Fontanilla beach is one of the best beaches to be found in the centre. Obviously for this reason, it tends to be a crowded spot and to get a spot you have to be an early riser.

It is almost one kilometre long and is surrounded by large hotels and restaurants, such as the Iberostar Selection Marbella Coral Beach, making it a meeting point for all those visiting the town.

NagĂŒeles Beach

On the Golden Mile is the NagĂŒeles beach, a typical Marbella beach. Its crystal clear waters and fine sand are reminiscent of the paradisiacal beaches of the Caribbean. It is not surprising, therefore, that in summer it is one of the busiest spots in Marbella. In addition, there are several beach bars offering fresh fish in the surrounding area.

NagĂŒeles beach is also a must for a stroll in autumn or winter.

La Bajadilla Beach

The last beach in the centre that I recommend is La Bajadilla beach, at the beginning of the promenade. Like other central beaches, finding a spot in summer can be a bit tricky, although rented umbrellas and sun loungers are an option to consider. Thanks to its location, there is no problem when it comes to finding a place to eat fish in peace and quiet.

Nueva AndalucĂa Beach

Away from the city centre we can find some impressive spots of natural beauty. Among them is the beach of Nueva AndalucĂa, classified as one of the best beaches in Marbella. Its appearance is very different from much of the coast of the city, as it is composed of coves and dark sand, similar to what we can find in the small Mediterranean corners. It is quite well known and offers many services, as well as a promenade that stretches from Puerto BanĂșs.

Guadalmina Beach

In San Pedro de AlcĂĄntara we can find many small beaches. Among them, Guadalmina beach is one of the most reserved. Its parking is limited, so it is a small and not so crowded corner, ideal for those who are looking for peace and detest the hustle and bustle. Moreover, from Guadalmina beach you can enjoy splendid views of Gibraltar. A family picnic is an enviable alternative.

Los Monteros Beach

Located in a luxury residential area, Los Monteros beach is one of the quietest in the area. Along its two kilometres we can find surveillance points, which is why it is ideal for spending the day with children and not having to worry about anything. The dunes are one of the peculiarities of this beach which, although not always found, make it a different place.

Playa Real de Zaragoza

Another of the jewels of the Andalusian city is the Real de Zaragoza beach. Although it is a narrow corner, its extension is quite considerable. It is made up of very fine sand and crystal clear waters, which is why it has become one of Marbella’s cult places. The restaurants and beach bars located here offer fresh fish at very good prices.
