Spain has the honour of having the best beach in Europe. It’s not us who say so, but TripAdvisor, which takes into account the opinions and comments of its own users when drawing up its rankings.
Today on this website we want to tell you about the five best beaches in Europe in 2017 according to the list compiled by the travel portal. Would you like to join us?
La Concha beach, Spain
The best beach in Europe according to TripAdvisor is Playa de la Concha which, as you know, is located in San Sebastian, Basque Country. This shell-shaped bay is known, among other things, for its white railing, which surrounds the entire promenade. At sunset, the views are marvellous.
Elafonisi Beach, Greece
In second place is Elafonisi beach, one of the most popular beaches in Crete, Greece. We are talking about a paradisiacal peninsula of pink sands and crystal clear waters that you can reach on foot at low tide. Also, you should know that thanks to its shallow waters, it is an ideal place for children.
CĂŽte des Basques, France
The third best beach in Europe this year is CĂŽte des Basques which, for many, is the birthplace of European surfing. It is a picturesque bay of golden sand that is surrounded by steep cliffs. However, you should know that during high tide the waves can cover the sand completely.
Fig Tree Bay, Cyprus
From France we move to Cyprus to discover Fig Tree Bay, the fourth beach on the list. Washed by the waters of the Mediterranean Sea, this paradise offers clear waters and golden sand. However, you should be aware that it is a beach full of services.
Isola dei Conigli, Italy
Finally, we would like to talk about the Isola dei Conigli, which is located on the island of Lampedusa, far from the Sicilian coast. It is a charming little island located in the centre of a wide bay that can be easily reached by swimming.
